Artist Call Details
In celebration of the queer experience from the Midwest perspective, this inaugural Pride Month exhibit welcomes area LGBTQ+ identified artists and allies to share their unique creative vision of what being queer in the Midwest looks like. We welcome works that embody the queer experience, seek to break down boundaries traditionally used to oppress queer people, or that are simply an expression of creativity made by LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. We invite you to submit for consideration your paintings, sculptures, photographs and more.
Accepted artists will be notified May 24th
Art Drop off: June 1st, 11am-1pm 2024
THEMES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Queer artists may submit artwork of any subject or theme. Themes also may include: Queer Identity, Queer Resistance, Queer Community and/or Queer Joy.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: May 23rd, 2023.
Both LGBTQ+ individuals and allies are welcome to submit.
