Artist Call Details

The premise of this show is that artists are given a random playing card from a deck, and they interpret and create a 11″ x 14″ piece inspired by that card. 

Each artist is assigned a playing card at random. There are 54 cards in the mix, including 52 standard playing cards and 2 jokers. The card they are are assigned is for them to interpret however they see fit.

Join us July 5th from 7pm-10pm at Smokestack for a First Friday Art Reception featuring a notorious Dubuque group show started years back by local artist Jon Little. This show is a community art exercise in which artists of all skill levels draw a single card from a deck! We thank Jon Little for this fun collaboration and 70 artists for participating!
